TYT has been conducting R&D and engineering studies on floating solar energy systems since 2013. The first Floating Solar Energy Plant in Turkey was installed in 2014 and is located in the Mersin Azmak 2 Hydroelectric Power Plant. This system has also been the world’s first floating solar system installed on a hydroelectric power plant reservoir.

In 2017 TYT installed Turkey’s largest floating solar system using HydroSolar V2 patented floating structure solution. The system was commissioned in Istanbul Büyükçekmece Lake.TYT continues to provide its engineering services and innovative technology solutions in the field of floating solar using HydroSolar V4 patented floating structure. The structure is developed for harsh site conditions and is suitable for large water reservoirs.
